OutRival is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to take ownership of our state-of-the-art voice and chat platform as we scale to support over 1 million conversations per month. These interactions propel institutions toward advancing innovation, superior customer experiences, and increased revenue.

While experience with conversational agents is a plus, it’s not required—we value your ability to learn, build, scale, and iterate. Strong communication skills and ambition are essential for career growth at OutRival.

What You’ll Do

There’s no formal job requirements - and that’s intentional. At OutRival, we want you to apply if you’re excited and able to hold yourself accountable for the following:

  • Leveraging expert-level development skills, building web application features in one-third of the time that others say is possible:
    • Frontend: React (TypeScript, Tailwind)
    • Backend: Python (FastAPI)
    • Persistence Layer: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Edge Functions)
    • DevOps**:** AWS ECS, GitHub Actions, monitoring and metrics tools
  • Designing and optimizing multi-threaded and multi-process APIs (FastAPI) to enable seamless interactions between our frontend, backend, and AI components.
  • Owning large-scale Supabase (PostgreSQL) instances including schema version control and CI/CD.
  • Creating, maintaining, and integrating with RESTful APIs including authentication (SSO), rate limiting, caching, and distributed locking.
  • Driving incremental system efficiency gains and large-scale workloads.
  • Deploying with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Consistently solving the platform’s most challenging problems in both reactive and proactive ways with complete ownership.
  • Ensuring system reliability and performance, helping us scale from our early traction to handling 1 million conversations per month.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, design, ML) to ship AI-driven customer experiences that exceed expectations.
  • Implementing security best practices to safeguard applications and customer data.
  • Owning the continued platform development end-to-end, from feature ideation to production deployment.
  • Hiring, mentoring, and supporting engineers to foster technical growth within the team.

Location

This role is based in Miami, Florida and the person is expected to be in office 5 days a week. Our office is located in the Miami Arts & Entertainment District. We’re open to candidates already in the Miami area or those willing to relocate there.
